I watched it.

Being from Chicago, and of a certain age, I remember Chicago playing New England quite a while back. This was the only pro football game I watched this season, and it reminded me – in a painful way – of the BCS championship.

In that game, Ohio State forgot to bring their offense. Or their defense. And lost ugly.

In this game, Chicago threw many excellent passes to the wrong team. And lost ugly.

Even the commercials were disappointing. When several breaks in a row yield far more commercials for the network’s own shows than for stuff you can buy, something is wrong.

And so few were creative or memorable.

And Prince at the halftime show? doing songs from the last time Chicago made it this far? Something’s wrong there, too.

(note: I just now added “sports” as a category for my posts. That should tell you how valuable my opinion on this matter is…)
